It hurts me

It hurts me, it hurts me that I loss a friend I grew up with.

First, it brings me back to bygone days. Secondly, selfishly, it hammer’s home my own mortality.

It is the family that I think of. The family has dealt with more than it should have to.

I am lost for words.
