Tick-tock goes the clock.
Ding-dong goes the bell.
The children run down the hall.
To go outside and play ball.
Recess.
Its need is priceless.
To dust the cobwebs.
From their heads.
Fun.
In the rain.
Or in the sun.
Until such time, recess is done.
Tick-tock goes the clock.
Ding-dong goes the bell.
Calling children to their classes.
To where, grudgingly, they prod on masses.
