I used to blog on Google Blogger. I deleted my account there and I switched to WordPress. I have spent most of the weekend re-posting my old posts onto WordPress.
I would have completed this task if I just copied and pasted these post; however, many of these posts were poorly written. Over the years, my writing has improved both in wording and in style. Many of these old posts needed tweeting, or a major re-edit, so the simple task of re-posting became a chore. Some posts I deliberately left as they were because they were either links, or small quips that were not worth the effort.
I have lost a lot of followers because I switched blog hosts and I also #deletedFacebook.
Deleting Facebook was one of the decisions I ever had to make. Firstly, FB was how I kept in touch with family and friends (real friends, not the virtual kind. Although, I made a few real friends from my online one’s). I figured I would go back to texting or emailing to keep in touch with my family and close friends. The others will have to search me and contact me via email.
So, here I am at the beginning. I am rebooting my social profile. I only have one more important task: #deleteGmail. This is the hardest project as Gmail contains all my family and close friends contact information. I don’t want to lose any of them, so I must plan it out (I have an android phone and right now the two are closely linked. I will come; probably as soon as this weekend.
In the meantime, I will compete the blog transfer project and get back to learning French, get back to my reading, and more importantly get back to my writing.
If you are new to my blog, I wish to welcome you. I rarely post my works here. I do write about topics, which just happened to pop into my mind. I like to discuss these topics and illustrate each subject with aspects of my life. For privacy issues, I do not mention other people in my examples by name – they wouldn’t mean anything to you anyway unless you knew me.
Once again, welcome.
