Well, it’s been a little over two weeks since we moved in. We’re starting to settle in.
I got the boxes all unpacked by the end of the first weekend. I just placed everything where I thought it should go. I am sure I will rearrange some of the items once I figure out what works best for me.
The whole place needs TLC. The condo could use a new paint job and there are minor fixes that need doing. The repairs will come first. The whole thing is a process.
The place is not fancy by any means, but it’s homely. We both feel at ease in this place something neither of us felt at the other condo. It feels like home. It just needs some love. The place was empty a long time before we bought it. The previous occupant did some partial renovations, but not everything. It will get there in time.
The commute to Richmond is long, but not too bad. Although if I were to get a job in Abbotsford, that would make things easier. I am reading somewhat, as always, while I travel on the bus. However, I am not doing much writing. Once we settle in and I am not doing extra stuff to get the place somewhat presentable, I hope to do more writing on the weekends.
Anyway, that’s my update.
